EMAAR India was operating on a legacy SharePoint on-premises environment with thousands of project documents, site files, legal contracts, and approval workflows spread across multiple farm servers. The ageing infrastructure was creating collaboration bottlenecks across their Gurgaon operations — with document access delays, version conflicts, and growing IT maintenance overhead.

When exactly does SharePoint 2016 and 2019 go end of life?
Microsoft SharePoint Server 2016 reaches end of Extended Support on July 14, 2026. SharePoint Server 2019 follows on October 14, 2026. SharePoint Server 2013 already expired in April 2023. After these dates, Microsoft will not issue security patches — any vulnerability discovered post-expiry will remain permanently unpatched on your server.
Will we lose any data during the migration?
